Pretty good weather for the rally hosted by the Mount Baker MG Car Club in Skagit County. Corvette and Alpha Romeo clubs showed up, just to name a few.

Thanks to the organizers for a well run event. (When the organizer has a SIX-FOOT wide picture of a race-car permanently attached to the outside of his motor home, you know these people are hard-core!)

Gary Gilfilen came along, and needless to say, HE did the driving for us, not me.

Gary is a hill-climb trophy winner, three time CSCC Class “C2” auto-cross champion, and he has re-built both trophy-winning race cars and trucks (see pictures below.) He’s a lucky guy, as his wife Joy also races. She has had some of the fastest overall times (next to Gary) out of 40 competitors…virtually all male…in many of the CSCC races. Their high-school-aged son wants to be a professional race car driver…hmmm, wonder who he gets that from!

A donation was made to the chosen charity for this event, Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They can always use your donation or volunteer effort.

Overall, a great day to be in the Northwest.
